Plasma Ball reference
For my lightning, these are the things I would like to implement per feedback of the mentors:
Size: Having size difference to implement "dominant" pieces; this also helps with having the sizing help fade off the curves instead of them just being deleted
Color: Implement a greyscale to implement different brightnesses of the individual pieces
Movement: Instead of point to point curve, have the pieces move subtlely
Having longer curves that stretch further instead of a lot of smaller ones

Another issue I had with the first render pass was it looks like pieces of hair because the end points were sticking out. My mistake was moving up the endpoints with the midpoints. This is with the midpoints pushed out by the normal instead of the entire segment:
There is still a noise issue where it looks like its waving, but I am using the reference to tailor the noise so it looks less uniform.
This is the color in progress. It is gray scale, but it is determined by primitive number. The primitive number changes depending on what is deleted, but It is a work in progress.
