Glasses
One of the objects that I brought in was my beloved late heart-shaped glasses. They have served their purpose and now will find its place in the depths of my bedroom where it will continue to collect dust for the rest of its days, unless I find some other purpose for them. Throughout the years I have been asked if they were real prescription glasses and, in fact, they are, as I am not consistent enough to wear fashion glasses every day. However, what if there were more to them than just regular eyewear?
Rays of love
Contrary to the title, these glasses are not for the faint of heart. They seem harmless enough, just an ordinary pair of pink heart shaped glasses. However, if worn outside in the sun, the glasses begin shaking and absorbing the sun rays, acting as a magnifying glass. The concentrated rays are pinpointed to the person's eyes and blasted and left are two heart-shape burn holes where the eyes should be.
Compatibility
When the glasses are picked up, the glasses are tuned to that specific person. When the person looks through them, they are able to view their compatibility with other people at that given moment. A number is displayed on top of their head from a scale of 1 - 100.
Heart of the Dinosaurs
The origin of these dates back before prehistoric times. The material of the glass was made from the ashes of the hearts of two lover dinosaurs. When the tragic meteor hit, they disintegrated and nothing but the ashes remained in the spot they fell in love in. Millions of years later, a neanderthal down on their luck found this spot and had a vision about the earth shattering love drama between the two dinosaurs. They quickly retrieved the ashes from the soil. Using modern technology available at the time, they decided to create these heart glasses in memoriam to those very dinosaurs. It became the first seeing heart glasses known to man.
Make a wish
Just like the modern Thanksgiving tradition wishbone tradition, each person will grab a leg of the glasses and pull to try to snap it in half. Whoever gets the bigger piece of the object will win and the loser will have a heart attack. A modern day duel, if you will.
